In this post, I will be exploring three of my classmates’ post and mentioning what I enjoyed and learned from each of their collections.
Humaira Siddiqi
Humaira’s collection is all about self-development and she has chosen e-book as her format to express her theme which is self-development. A collection of ten e-books are examined in her post, such as, Thinking Fast and Slow, The Book of Joy: Lasting happiness in a changing the world, The Success Principles: How to get from where you are to where you want to be, Think and Grow Rich, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Originals: How non-conformists move the world, Essentialism: The disciplines pursuit of less, The Gifts of Imperfection: Let go of who you think you are supposed to be and embrace who you are, Five second Rule: Transform your life, work and confidence with everyday courage, Out Order, Inner Calm: Declutter and organize to make more rooms for happiness. Humaira has included the summary and her personal review. Thug, it assists readers to understand so easily. I found everything in her collection effective to improve a person’s abilities gradually. Overall, I learned a punch of ideas and Technics to motivate myself to achieve my further goals in my life.
Leila Rahimi
A collection of ten thriller movies could be seen in her post and the movies listed by Leila are mainly based on domestic violence and abuse of women and children. She has exposed her ideas well-presented and her collection reveals the violence women face around the world and how they overcome those kinds of violence. Each movie conveys great lessons to the community. And Leila has clearly explained interesting things of each movies. Specially, enough movie is highly about patriarchy and enslaving women. This film also portrays how a wife suffers from a dominant husband and how she fights back to him bravely and starts new life with freedom. I personally love this movie and I am interested in thriller movies as well. The movies, which are in her collection, showcase how much Leila is interested in thriller movies and she has expressed the essential facts of every movie. Though, it is helpful to readers to observe information without watching movie.
Madi Maclaurin
Finally, I am examining her collection of ten photographs from Flickr explores the theme of isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s well known that internationally, people are affected by COVID-19 and it is highly possible to experience positive and negative isolation. The photos are illustrated from a personal point of view. She has analyzed effectively, and she holds the promise of moving readers ’expectations from one text to another. She reveals not only the human’s emotions but also the feelings of the animal. The choice of her photographs and explanation inspire the reader to continue. Overall, the collection contains of all kind of emotion of people who are in lock-down. It really made me think about that everyone should work together against the virus without any discrimination.
